Avatar: Seven Sins

After Avatar Aang restored balance to the world by stripping the Pheonix King of his power, there came an era of peace. The Avatar was able to repopulate the airbenders by using energybending to imbue them with the fantastic power. Meanwhile, with the help of the Earth King and Chief Arnook, Firelord Zuko began to paint a new image of the Fire Nation, making peace with the world. And so an era of tranquility spread throughout the land, all Nations co-existing peacefully with one another in harmonous unity.

But an evil lurked under the surface much worse than Ozai or any conquerer the world had ever seen. Aang died and was reincarnated into the new Avatar born to the Northern Water Tribe. Avatar Hannie was a quick study and became just as powerful as her past lives. But unlike them, the world was existing in balance, causing little need for the Avatar. She became lazy and undisciplined, after all, why should she train her mind if the world doesn’t need her anyway. So when Hannie entered the Spirit World, she was easy to tempt.

Six demons, incarnations of the Seven Deadly Sins, tempted the Avatar into letting them travel with her into the real world. When they arrived and Hannie had realized what she had done, she used her Avatar state and struck out against them. But her untrained mind was no match for these powers, and she was slain by the Demon Lords. The Demons roamed the land freely, conquering all the land in their path. Unlike their predecessor, Wrath, they wanted the world in one peace, not burned to the ground.

In only seven years, the Demons had conquered the world and everyone in it. They forced labor and harsh conditions; child workers became commonplace as well as slavery. The Six lived extravagantly, building palaces made of pure gold and silver, or living in giant summer homes by the beach. They delved into every luxury, every comfort, anything to make them forget their time in the spirit world. But that isn’t to say that the Demons were at peace. A line began to be drawn, splitting them into two groups.

Greed, Lust, and Gluttony began to collaborate with each other, speaking of conquering the other three Demons’ land. Meanwhile, when the others found out about the meetings, they formed an alliance. No one can remember who started this civil war, but it rages on, a bloody battle between the two triads. Greed, Lust, and Gluttony took the Fire Nation Capital as their lead city, while Pride, Envy, and Sloth took Ba Sing Se.

At this time, people began to see the split of loyalties and tried to take advantage of it. Groups of warriors from throughout the Four Nations began to band together, eventually forming under one unit known as the Freedom Fighters. They first retook the Earth Nation city of Omashu and set up a base of operations there. Now, the epic war is at it’s climax, and the three sides will battle for the fate of the world.
